Simple income and expense tracker

Keep income and expenses in order without being an accountant

A plain ledger for businesses that do not want heavy accounting software: income, expense and transfer entries, VAT split, categories and receipt attachments. Commission collections and staff payments post from the entitlement by themselves.

  • Income, expense and transfer kept apart
  • Commission collections and payments arrive by themselves
  • Export to Excel and PDF

The problem

The expense file and the commission file do not know each other

With commission collections in one file, the register in another and expenses in a third, finding the real profit at period end becomes a rebuild.

  • The commission payment you receive is keyed into the ledger separately, forgotten or entered twice.
  • A transfer between branches is counted as income and revenue looks larger than it is.
  • Receipt and invoice photos stay on phones and never reach the ledger.

What it does

  • Income, expense, transfer

The three entry types are kept apart. A transfer is money moved between branches and counts as neither income nor expense.

  • VAT split

Income VAT and expense VAT are shown separately; the net result and VAT totals appear in the month summary.

  • Categories

Income and expense categories make the report say what went where.

  • Attachments

Attach a receipt or invoice image to the entry; the document and the record stay together.

  • Linked to entitlements

Commission collections and staff payments recorded in the entitlement post into the ledger automatically.

  • Head office and branch scope

Keep company-wide expenses in head office and branch movements in the branch; change the scope with the selector above.

How it works

  1. 1

    Add an entry

Add income or an expense, choose the category and VAT, attach the document if needed.

  2. 2

    Let the commission flow arrive

Collections and payments marked in the entitlement are written to the ledger.

  3. 3

    Report at month end

See the period as income, expense and net result; take it as Excel or PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Does a simple income-expense tracker replace accounting software?

No. Primsis is not statutory accounting or e-invoicing software; it keeps a branch’s cash movement and commission flow. You can take reports as Excel or PDF to share with your accountant.

Why is a transfer not income or expense?

Money moved between branches does not change the company’s total income or expense. A transfer is its own entry type, so revenue is not inflated.

Do I have to key commission collections into the ledger?

No. When you record a collection or a payment in the entitlement, the matching income and expense post to the ledger automatically.

Can I buy the ledger on its own?

Yes. The Lite package opens only the income-expense ledger, the daily cash register, ledger reports, branches and users; you can move to the Premium package later without losing data. The register and ledger options (VAT, transfers, recurring entries) are switched on by the template.

What is the difference between the daily cash register and the ledger?

The daily register is a branch’s cash position day by day, counted at day end. The ledger is the record of all the month’s income and expense; the register is linked to it.
