Importing from Excel: template, preview, fixing errors

Load transactions in bulk with the Excel template: download it, fill it in, preview the result, fix errors and undo an import if you need to.

Updated

Instead of entering many transactions one by one, you can upload them in an Excel file. The preview saves nothing until you confirm.

Limits

  • .xlsx files only; at most 5 MB and 20,000 rows.
  • Keep the column headers as they are and enter one transaction per row.

Step by step

  1. Open Import. The "Import from Excel" button on Data Entry leads to the same page.
  2. Press Download template. Its "Açıklama" sheet lists the transaction types, the required columns per type, the option values and the branches.
  3. Fill in the file. The date columns carry the names the template uses (in telecom "İşlem tarihi" and "Aktivasyon tarihi"). In the status column you can write the active or pending status name ("Aktif" or "Beklemede" in telecom); left empty, the rule of the transaction type applies.
  4. Drag the file in or choose it with Choose file.
  5. Check the preview: Rows, Valid and With errors, plus the split by transaction type and by branch.
  6. Press Import N transactions and confirm with Import.

Fixing errors

If any row has an error, no row is saved until the file is fixed. The error table shows the row, the column and the message. Correct them in Excel and upload again with Choose the corrected file. When there are many errors only the first ones are listed; the rest appear after you fix those.

Your own file layout

If your file was not made from the template, choose "My own file layout": you map each header of your file to the matching column. Recognised headers come with a suggestion, required columns are marked with *, and headers you do not need stay on "Skip". If the file has no transaction type or branch column, you pick a default type and branch. Use the last mapping brings back your previous mapping.

Undoing and closed periods

In the "Past imports" list every file has an Undo button; all transactions written by that file are deleted. An import with transactions in a closed period cannot be undone, and rows dated in a closed period are rejected from the start.

Who can import

The Customer Admin, the Coordinator (own branches) and the Branch Manager (own branch). The Accountant and the Sales Representative cannot import.
